Portable/Mobile

The Armourile Portable Ground Monitor has been specially designed to combine very light weight with excellent stability. Its a robust and effective and can very quickly be brought into use. It folds compactly for vehicle stawage. It is intended for use in the medium output range, typicaly up to 400 g.p.m. (1800 l.p.m) but higher outputs can be tolerated by using the anchor spike which is also recomended for use on smooth surfaces to assist in resisting jet reaction forces.

Features
  • Lightweight
  • Low maintenance
  • Compact
  • Low pressure loss design
  • High durable corrision resistant materials

Angus "FI" In-line Inductors are designed primarily for use in fixed installations and provide a simple and reliable method of proportioning foam concentrate in constant flow applications.

Angus Balanced Pressure Foam Proportioners (BPPs) are designed for use in fixed systems to introduce foam concentrate at a pre-determined rate into the fire-water supply, over a varying range of foam solution demands.

Uniductor, when matched with Angus Hi-Combat Foam branchpipes or nozzles, provides the simplest possible means of getting foam to the fire where it is needed.

Features
  • High grade stainless steel with polyester internals
  • Exceptional corrosion resistance
  • Suitable for use in the most extreme environments
  • High grade corrosion resistant materials
  • Require no maintenance
  • Modular construction

Angus HI-COMBAT Turbex MkII High Expansion Foam generators are designed to produce large capacities of high expansion foam, up to 200 cubic metres (7,000 cu.ft) per minute for fast and effective flooding of large and inaccessible spaces with minimal water consumption and subsequently minimal water damage.

Features
  • Type of foam produced can be varied in the range of 500-1100:1 expansion ratio.
  • Unique by-pass system allows performance to be maintained when working against high back pressures.
  • Special in-built filter system protects the turbine and inductor from blockage due to solid particles in the water supply.

The unit has excellent handling and mobility as a result of the low centre of gravity and features solid rubber tyres to enable movement over difficult
terrain.

The usability of the Angus Responder 140 is further enhanced by the addition of screw shaft prop outriggers which provide stability
when the monitor is in action.

To operate simply connect the Duraline fire hose which is supplied with the unit to a suitable water supply, open the valve and allow the water to flow to the monitor. Foam is induced automatically by opening the foam valve. The unit can be used for coolingwater only, or fire fighting with foam.

Features

  • Self-contained mobile foam unit
  • Rapid deployment of foam extinguishing agent
  • Improved handling and mobility
  • Low maintenance

The innovatively designed Angus HI-COMBAT AF120 MK2 is a fully self-contained mobile foam unit which has been specifically developed for the rapid deployment of foam extinguishing agent to fires and chemical spills. Further refinement has been achieved through a detailed ergonomic review and lower centre of gravity design, resulting in improved handling and mobility.

Requiring only connection to a suitable water supply, the standard unit comprises a 120 litre foam concentrate tank, HI-COMBAT UNI-225 inductor and F225/HU low expansion foam branchpipe. Also two 15m lengths of dutch coiled 45mm diameter Duraline fire hose, fitted with light alloy 2 1/2" instantaneous couplings to BS336 (other connections available to special order). A shut off ball valve is also fitted to the inductor as standard, to facilitate swift operation by just one person.

This improved performance combined with an effective fire fighting capability makes the Angus HI-COMBAT AF120 Mk2 ideal for the protection of smaller flammable liquid hazards such as boiler rooms, oil storage and loading terminals, paint or spirit stores, airfields, industrial sites, generator rooms and similar high risk areas. The HI-COMBAT AF120 Mk2 provides a compact and highly efficient fire fighting unit, on hand for a fast response with minimum manpower requirements.

This highly versatile unit is suitable for use with any type of foam concentrate, but is particularly effective when used with Angus Alcoseal and Petroseal Film Forming FluoroProtein foams. When used with Alcoseal 3-3 it effectively becomes an AF240, doubling the operating time on Polar Solvent fires.

The ability to use Angus HI-COMBAT MEX225U and MEX450U medium expansion foam branchpipes with this unit, makes it particularly suitable for rapid intervention in cases where vapour suppression of chemical spills is a necessity. All component parts and materials have been chosen to minimise maintenance requirements. The foam tank is constructed from high strength, chemicalresistant GRP resin and is mounted on a corrosion resistant, thermoplastic coated steel chassis. A footbrake is also provided for maximum stability on a slope.

Features
  • Fast acting and effective against nearly all fire hazards
  • Environmentally neutral - zero ODP, zero GWP
  • Low installation and maintenance costs
  • No post-fire residues or damage to protected equipment
  • Electrically non-conductive
  • Safe for occupied areas
  • Can be integrated with existing detection and alarm systems
  • Automatic or manual release
  • Engineered or modular design
  • Minimum downtime after a fire

The HI-COMBAT Mini-Turbex generator is ideally suited to applications in a wide range of industries including Municipal Fire Brigades, Military, Ships engine rooms, machinery spaces and cargo holds, mining applications and total flooding of basements, flammable liquid stores, cable ducts and control of vapour releases of toxic and flammable liquid spills in general industrial applications. It is also suited to outdoor situations where fuel spillages may occur, or a rapid flowing foam is required.
